About finderFACE
finderFACE is a homegrown web site devoted to keeping tabs on people in the public eye here in the UK.
Every day the site scans Google News, Amazon Products, Flickr Photographs, YouTube Videos and Blog Posts to provide all content relevant to a person on a single page.
In addition, we scan upcoming movie releases and TV appearances and provide sections on these too. Finally, we build connections between people via their entry in Wikipedia and every person is rated daily based on the density of news articles that are currently appearing on the web. The top rated people will appear each day in the 'In the News' section above.
Please browse away, clicking on the Random Person button is often a great way to start. I hope you enjoy the site, please feel free to send any feedback or suggestions to admin@finderface.co.uk.

 | There's Something about Mary Those kings of bad taste Peter and Bobby Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber, Kingpin) surpassed themselves with this defiantly non-PC but wickedly funny Hollywood smash. Ben Stiller plays a writer (Ted Stroehmann) who, 13 years later, is still obsessed by his prom date Cameron Diaz, even though the occasion ended in disaster. The problem is that a queue of fellow misfits has also fallen under her spell, including British comic Lee Evans and the seedy private eye (Matt Dillon) Stiller hired to find her. With gags about the mentally and physically disabled, dead dogs and serial killers, not to mention the now infamous "hair gel" scene, this is unwholesome entertainment for older members of the family. The hapless Stiller uncovers a previously unseen gift for slapstick, although none of the cast can be faulted in this area. There's also an inspired musical commentary from American cult singer/songwriter Jonathan Richman. (Starring:Mary Jenson*Cameron Diaz|Pat Healy*Matt Dillon|Ted Stroehmann*Ben Stiller|Magda*Lin Shaye|Tucker*Lee Evans|Dom*Chris Elliott|Jonathan*Jonathan Richman|Sully*Jeffrey Tambor|Mary's mom*Markie Post|Mary's stepfather*Keith David) Wednesday January 6 2010 21:00 - 23:15 |
 | In & Out In this light-hearted comedy from director Frank Oz, Kevin Kline stars as the soon-to-be-married small-town teacher who is outed by an ex-pupil-turned-Hollywood star (Matt Dillon) during his televised Oscar acceptance speech. Inspired by Tom Hanks's Philadelphia acceptance speech (in which he thanked his gay professor), this has some very funny moments as Kline, his wedding-obsessed mother (Debbie Reynolds) and surprised fiancée (Joan Cusack) struggle with the fact he may be gay, and there's a nice supporting turn from Tom Selleck as the openly gay reporter who comes to town to cover the story. Thanks to Kline's sharp but moving performance, what could have been a stereotypical or even camp role is actually a fleshed out and sensitive one.(Starring:Howard Brackett*Kevin Kline|Emily Montgomery*Joan Cusack|Peter Malloy*Tom Selleck|Cameron Drake*Matt Dillon|Berniece Brackett*Debbie Reynolds|Frank Brackett*Wilford Brimley|Tom Halliwell*Bob Newhart|Walter Brackett*Gregory Jbara|Glenn Close*Glenn Close|Whoopi Goldberg*Whoopi Goldberg|Jay Leno*Jay Leno) Sunday January 10 2010 13:00 - 14:45 |
 | To Die For Nicole Kidman gives a great performance in this brilliantly acerbic satire on fame and the American Dream, playing shallow suburban princess Suzanne Stone whose entire life has been devoted to becoming a television celebrity. Trouble is, husband Matt Dillon keeps getting in the way of her grandiose plans, so he has to be eliminated. Sharply scripted by Buck Henry from Joyce Maynard's bestselling novel, which was inspired by true events, this frighteningly funny, razor-sharp drama is one of director Gus Van Sant's most accessible movies - gone is the puzzling quirkiness of Drugstore Cowboy and My Own Private Idaho. Van Sant simply allows the riveting story to shine through above any extraneous style. Kidman, all pretty in pink lipstick and poisonous plans, is a revelation. There's fine support, too, from Joaquin Phoenix as a besotted fan and Illeana Douglas, who gets to end this delightful satire with a marvellously cynical cutting-edge climax.(Starring:Suzanne Stone*Nicole Kidman|Larry Maretto*Matt Dillon|Jimmy Emmett*Joaquin Phoenix|Russell Hines*Casey Affleck|Janice Maretto*Illeana Douglas|Lydia Mertz*Alison Folland|Joe Maretto*Dan Hedaya|Ed Grant*Wayne Knight|Earl Stone*Kurtwood Smith|Carol Stone*Holland Taylor|Man at lake*David Cronenberg) Tuesday January 12 2010 01:10 - 03:15 |
